I am now in San Diego. This is a very lounging around kind of hostel. And it seems to be a pretty lounging around kind of place, although I have been for two walks around the city so far and will go for another soon.
I had lunch with ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) pre_raphaelite1 yesterday. She is awesome! She picked me up from the greyhound station and took me to lunch and we discussed fandom things and politics and the weather and how the internet can hardly be considered to be making us antisocial. Then she drove me to San Diego, and the hostel even let her carry my backpack to my room!
So, the first fandom meet up of the adventure was a complete success!
We decided that we really do have to write those fics that have been sitting on our hard drives being occasionally poked. Of course, mine currently only on a CD on my desk in Melbourne, and no longer on this computer.
I'm catching the overnight bus to San Francisco on Friday. |
